Þingeyri
Þingeyri is a beautiful fishing village in the centre of the Westfjords of Iceland. With 270 inhabitants traditionally mainly dependent on the rich fishing grounds around the fjords. In recent years fish farming has become the biggest provider for work in the village. Located in the middle of the Westfjords, Þingeyri is in a Dýrafjörður fjord surrounded by mountains and a short distance from waterfalls and other interesting places to visit.

How to get there?
From Reykjavik it is 380 km by car. You can also fly to Ísafjörður, and drive 50 km to Þingeyri. The route from Reykjavik has spectacular scenery with many interesting places to explore. It is recommended to enjoy the journey and stop whenever you feel the urge to explore or just be.

In Þingeyri you find several options for accommodation, Hotel Sandafell, Við Fjörðinn Guesthouse, Gemlufell Guesthouse. The camping ground in Þingeyri is located by the ocean and close to the Swimming hall.

Where is it?The Festival will be hosted in Skelin, an old workshop which is currently being renovated at Fjarðargata 42, Þingeyri. It is a very casual and raw setting, which gives us good space for discussions.
